GENERALIntroducing Avatars- Players' shrines may now turn into powerful units called Avatars.
- An Avatar is an ancient, powerful champion that can be summoned from the player's Shrine to do battle for them. At the start of the game, the Avatar is in its stone-form and works exactly like the old Shrines - they are unable to move, attack, etc.
- After 10-rounds, the 'Transfigure' ability on the Avatar becomes available. Once activated, the Avatar is released from its stone-form and acts as another champion on the battlefield - it can move, attack, and use abilities.
- Players must err on the side of caution when using the 'Transfigure' ability, for the starting deployment zone (the one around the Avatar while in stone-form) will be disabled. The only way to deploy champions after the 'Transfigure' takes place is by owning a Nora font.

Introduction of the 30 Rune Dock- Players must now have 30 runes in their Battle Group to play a game.
- Players may still make dual faction Battle Groups with 15 runes from one faction and 15 runes from another
Upgradeable Purchaseable Sample Battle Groups- Players can test the sample Battle Groups and the champions in the sample Battle Groups can earn up to 50 CP each
- Players may purchase the sample Battle Groups they have been testing at any time. The champions will keep their CP upon purchase
- The new samples all contain 30 runes
- Tokens can not be used on champions in sample Battle Groups until the sample Battle Group is purchased.
- Visit the faction overview page at http://www.poxnora.com/factions/viewfactionprofile.do and select a specific faction to view to try them out.
Rune Pack Boxes- Players now have a guaranteed way to get Exotics via Boxes. The boxes contain 10 packs total with the first pack containing a guaranteed Exotic.
- The remaining 9 rune packs within the box have their normal chances of giving an Exotic.
Hero Limitations Changed- Players may now have more than one hero in their Battle Group
- Players can still not have more than one of the same hero in a Battle Group
Client Update- You can now move and sort the revealed runes in your Rune Dock. Right click and drag to move runes and press 'S' to sort them. (Shift-S will put them back in their original locations)
- Due to the addition of more runes per game, the default turn timer has been increased to 2 minutes (from 1:45)
- The Drums of War lobby has been renamed to Ranked Play. The Anything Goes lobby has been renamed to Casual Play.
Website- To reset an out of date champion simply click on the hourglass icon next to the champion name in the Rune Manager
- The Fansite section was removed and will now be managed on the forums.
- New Avatar pages (link below Drums of War) allows you to view each avatar and their abilities
- New Avatar Store allows you to purchase the brand new Avatars
- New Avatar Manager within the Rune Manager
- New Getting Started pages
Maps- Lava Plains and Ruins of Valdac have alternate versions that have been added to the map rotation.
- Nora Glades map updated to better accommodate 2x2 units.
2 x 2 Units- 2x2 are now only considered to be "impeded" if 3 or 4 of their spaces are on impeding terrain.
AI- Made some overall improvement to AI in encounters
Bug Fixes- Fixed an issue with Deception causing game errors
- Zombie Plague will now spawn Infected Zombies on Lava terrain
- Fixed an issue where Tunnel abilities were causing the client to become unresponsive
- Updated abilities that generate Sand to be more consistent and not put sand on terrain that is already Sands. This should help reduce visual slowdown in situations where a lot of Sand is being generated
- Updated some champions to have faster attack animations: Elven Archer, Houndmaster, Centaur Archer, Goblin Archer
- Champions that are knocked back will now properly become engaged if they run into something
- Fixed some spells that weren't correctly playing all of their animations
- Fixed issue where Tribe War was not playing it's sound
