Now live: 2025 rebalance patch

Welcome to the 2025 rebalance patch. While this patch touches many champions, it has a focus in particular on Barbarians (US), Hyaenid (SP), Vampyres (FW), as well as new abilities, mechanics, spells, equipment, and relic changes. In addition, faction bonuses have been modified for a few factions in order to better equip them for battle.

Avatars


* When in ranked quickmatch games, Avatars for each player are given the stats and abilities for a level 50 avatar, regardless of the actual level of the player's Avatar.
* Made changes to the stats and abilities for avatars.

Faction Bonuses


* The Forsaken Wastes faction bonus now additionally gives a 3%/6% nora refund when champions are destroyed (friendly or enemy).
* The Ironfist Stronghold faction bonus now additionally gives a 8%/16% refund after deploying spells, relics, and equipment.
* The Shattered Peaks faction bonus now gives a 5%/10% deployment refund rather than a 4%/8% refund on deployment and a 2%/4% refund on friendly champions being destroyed.

Maps


* Readded the Elemental Plateau map into ranked rotation as a RARE map
* Readded a modified version of the Lost City map into ranked rotation as an UNCOMMON map
* Made modifications to shrine and/or nora font positions on the following maps:
* Shores of Maljara
* Shattered Peaks
* Changed the map rarity of the following maps:
* Shores of Maljara changed from COMMON to RARE
* Tundra Lake changed from UNCOMMON to EXOTIC
* Snarling Tangle changed from UNCOMMON to COMMON

Abilities

New Abilities
* Lord of Strigoi: This champion has Prestige and Bleed. After this champion uses an ability, friendly champions with Race: Vampyre within 3 spaces of this champion gain +3 Max HP and -1 CD on their abilities. This may only trigger once per turn.
* Master Reconstructor: This champion has Stitched, Reconstruct: Blackguard, Reconstruct: Dreameater and Reconstruct: Magician.
* Queen of the Night: This champion has Pawn. Friendly champions with Race: Witch within 5 spaces gain Domain: Dead Magic Zone. If a champion with Lord of Strigoi is in play, this champion gains Race: Vampyre and Bloodlust permanently.
* Sanguine Sorceress: This champion has Essence Capture. While there is a friendly champion with Lord of Strigoi in play, friendly champions with Race: Vampyre within 5 spaces of this champion gain Bloodspurt.
* Scavenger Idolatry: This champion has Dogpile. If you have 4 or more champions with Race: Hyaenid or Race: Djinn in play, this champion gains Opportunistic. If there are 6 or more champions in play with this ability, it also gains Hit and Run.
* Scavenger Instinct: This champion has Dogpile. If you have 4 or more champions with Race: Hyaenid or Race: Djinn in play, this champion gains Cackle. If you have 6 champions with Race: Hyaenid or Race: Djinn in play, the range of Cackle is increased by 2 spaces.
* Vampiric Thirst: This champion has Life Siphon. When a friendly champion with Race: Vampyre within 3 spaces vampiric heals, this champion loses 5 HP, gains 1 AP and gains +2 DMG for 1 turn. This ability can trigger up to 2 times per turn.
* Warchief: Beast Clan: This unit has Mountaineer. At the end of your turn, this unit gains a rank of Enrage. When this unit is destroyed and there is no other champion with this ability, the closest friendly champion with Race: Barbarian gains this ability.

Ability changes
* Arroyo Portal changed to: Target champion with Race: Spirit who was deployed this turn is relocated to a space next to this unit.
* Arroyo Rift changed to: Area Effect 4, Range 5: Affected spaces becomes Dead Magic Zone for 5 turns and enemy champions are pulled towards the center by 2 spaces, lose 2AP and become Soultapped for 6 turns
* Arroyo Rift AP cost changed from 5 to 3
* Arroyo Rift cooldown changed from 5 to 4
* Attack: Keg changed to: This unit makes a Poison attack at its Range. This is a basic attack.
* Barbaric Assault changed to: This unit gains Assault when another friendly Barbarian is within 3 spaces.
* Bestial Presence 3 changed to: When this unit comes into play, all friendly champions gain +2 DMG and +5 HP for 4 turns.
* Blood Offering 3 changed to: Sacrifice target friendly real champion you own, the nearest enemy champion suffers 25 Magical damage. This damage ignores DEF.
* Bloodlust changed to: This champion deals 40% additional damage to Bloodied champions on basic attacks.
* Clone Matter changed to: Target an enemy relic or enemy equipped champion within 8 spaces. If the target is a Relic, a copy of that Relic is summoned to an adjacent space. If the target is an equipped champion, a copy of that Equipment is equipped on the closest valid friendly champion (including this one).
* Cocoon changed to: Target champion within 2 spaces becomes Cocooned. (After 3 turns, this champion loses Cocooned and gains +1 DEF, +1 SPD and +2 DMG. If this champion has Race: Arthropod, it loses Cocooned in 2 turns instead. This effect does not stack.)
* Corrupt Blast 3 changed to: Area Effect 2, Range 5: Affected units take Disease damage equal to 70% of this unit's DMG. This damage ignores DEF. Champions successfully damaged become Diseased for 2 turns.
* Dark Healing changed to: When an enemy champion is healed by a spell or ability, the amount healed is reduced by 50%. At the end of each turn, friendly champions are healed by the same number of HP, distributed evenly among them to a maximum of 6 HP (rounded down, minimum 1). This effect does not stack.
* Death Nova: Sand champion nora cost changed from 6 to 4
* Deconstruct changed to: This champion has Stitched. When this unit destroys an opposing champion, that unit does not drop a nora globe and a Stitched Remains relic is spawned in the location that champion occupied.
* Deep Wounds changed to: Whenever this champion successfully damages an enemy champion with any attack, that champion becomes Wounded (This champion takes 35% additional damage from basic attacks made by champions with Deep Wounds. This stacks up to 3 times) for 6 turns.
* Diplomat changed to: When this champion comes into play, the nearest enemy champion and the friendly real champion closest to it become Pacified for 3 turns.
* Divine Wellspring changed to: While this champion has at least 10 charges, friendly champions within 5 spaces cannot fall below 1 HP via Perseverance. When this effect prevents the champion's HP from falling below 1, that champion gains Impervious, Impenetrable, and Shielded until the end of that turn and this champion loses all charges.
* Domain: Rock champion nora cost changed from 6 to 4
* Extinguish Matter changed to: Target relic or equipment on target champion within 3 spaces is destroyed and the closest enemy champion within 5 spaces to the target takes 10 Magical damage and becomes Cursed 5.
* Feint changed to: This Champion makes a 0 damage attack against target champion within 5 spaces. This attack is not part of the attack chain. If this attack is successful, the attacked champion gains 1 stack of Sundered for 1 turn.
* Fleshgrinder changed to: Sacrifice target real champion you own within 3 spaces. The closest opposing champion within 8 spaces takes 15 Magical damage and becomes Bloodied for 6 turns. Blood Balls worth 8 HP each are created in all adjacent spaces to that champion.
* Font Blessing changed to: While this champion is within 5 spaces of a font deployment zone you control, it gets +1 DEF, +5 DMG, and +10 HP.
* Ignorance changed to: Enemy Wizards, Shamans and Priests within 5 spaces of this unit may not activate abilities.
* Il'Tara's Burden changed to: Spend 12 Charges. This champion makes a magic attack at double damage against every enemy within its range.
* Ironfist Armaments changed to: When a friendly champion with Race: Angel, Race: Barbarian, Race: Dwarf, or Race: Construct becomes equipped, it gains 1 AP and +2 DMG for 2 turns. This does not stack.
* Kill Frenzy changed to: When this champion destroys a champion with an attack, its attack costs are reset and it gains 2 AP.
* Mark of Osarius changed to: After this champion has dealt 40 damage, a Head of Osarius relic is summoned to the closest available space to this champion. This ability is removed after trigger.
* Marsh Singer 3 changed to: At the beginning of your turn, you gain 6 nora.
* Murkwater Frenzy changed to: This unit gains Amphibious and Soultap Feedback. While 4 friendly champions with Race: Snaptooth are in play, this champion gains Brutality.
* Murkwater Solemnity changed to: This unit has Amphibious and Soultap. While 4 friendly champions with Race: Snaptooth are in play, this champion gains Soul Vitality.
* Nefari Torch changed to: When a player successfully casts a spell, their enemy's champions gain +1 DMG for 4 turns and gain 1AP and their champions gain -1 DMG for 4 turns.
* Peaks Armaments changed to: When a friendly champion with Race: Cyclops, Race: Voil, Race: G'hern or Race: Moga becomes equipped, it gains 1 AP and +2 DEF for 4 turns. This does not stack.
* Pride of Ailur changed to: When this champion attacks another champion, the closest friendly champions with Soul of Ailur gains 1 AP and gains +1 DEF for 4 turns.
* Puppet Master changed to: Target enemy champion within 3 spaces is Possessed, Pacified and gains Font Ignorance for 3 turns and gains this unit's remaining AP. This unit loses all AP and also gains Font Ignorance for 3 turns.
* Puppet Master cooldown changed from 3 to 4
* Repulsion champion nora cost changed from 8 to 6
* Rift Nova changed to: Area Effect 2, Range 5: Enemy champions occupying a Dead Magic Zone or Dread Field in the area lose 8 HP and lose 1 SPD for 2 turns for each friendly spirit within the AoE (to a maximum of -3).
* Riftwalker changed to: This champion is relocated to target Dead Magic Zone within 5 spaces. Enemy champions within 2 spaces become Awestruck for 2 turns. For each affected unit, this champion gains +1 AP and +1 DMG.
* Sacrificial Power changed to: This champion has Dark Summons and Portal. When a real opposing champion is destroyed this champion's cooldowns are reduced by 10. Sheoul Disciples cost 10 less nora.
* Sandbreach changed to: When this unit is damaged, spaces within 2 spaces becomes Sand for 3 turns. Enemy champions within those spaces become Sandblasted for 3 turns.
* Sandbreach champion nora cost changed from 2 to 3
* Savage Armaments changed to: When a friendly champion with Race: Yeti, Race: Lonx, or Race: Jakei becomes equipped, it gains 1 AP and +1 DEF for 4 turns. This does not stack.
* Savage Roar 3 changed to: All enemy champions within 2 spaces take 12 Sonic damage, lose 3 AP and are knocked back 2 spaces.
* Seal of the Vashal changed to: Target friendly Vashal or Beast within 5 spaces is Nora Shielded and heals for 3 for each unit with Seal of the Vashal (to a maximum of 12). Target champion gains Unsealed (This unit can not be the target of Seal of the Vashal) for 6 turns. This ability is removed after use.
* Secure Fonts changed to: For 3 turns, fonts you control cannot be contested. This ability comes into play on cooldown.
* Secure Fonts AP cost changed from 3 to 2
* Secure Fonts cooldown changed from 4 to 3
* Serf to Djinn: Dao changed to: When this champion is within 4 spaces of Peaks Dao, it gains Strike and Combat Awareness 1.
* Serf to Djinn: Dew changed to: When this champion is within 4 spaces of Peaks Dew, it gains Mobility and Slam.
* Serf to Djinn: Ifrit changed to: When this champion is within 4 spaces of Peaks Ifrit, it gains Violent and Burn 1.
* Serf to Djinn: Marid changed to: When this champion is within 4 spaces of Peaks Marid, it gains Paralytic Strike and Lightning Blast.
* Shrine Exertion changed to: Your Shrine or Avatar loses 5 HP, and this champion recovers 3 AP.
* Shrink cooldown changed from 2 to 3
* Solitary changed to: This unit gets +2 SPD, +5 DMG and +1 DEF when there are no friendly champions within 8 spaces.
* Soul of Ailur changed to: When this champion attacks another champion, the closest friendly champion with Pride of Ailur is healed for 3 HP and gains +2 DMG for 4 turns.
* Soul of Ailur champion nora cost changed from 3 to 4
* Spit Poison 3 changed to: This champion makes a Poison attack at Range 1-4. If successful, the target becomes Poisoned for 4 turns.
* Summon: Dragon AP cost changed from 5 to 4
* Summon: Electric Fireflies AP cost changed from 5 to 4
* Summon: Festering Corpse AP cost changed from 5 to 4
* Summon: Festering Corpse cooldown changed from 5 to 4
* Summon: Skeleton 1 AP cost changed from 5 to 4
* Summon: Skeleton 2 AP cost changed from 5 to 4

* Swallow Whole changed to: Target small non-Elite enemy champion is removed from play and loses 8 HP at the beginning of each turn and this champion has Lumbering and Font Ignorance. If this champion leaves play or loses this ability, any champions with HP remaining are deployed in the nearest available space.
* Terraform: Rock 1 changed to: Target space within 3 spaces, and all spaces adjacent to it, are Rock for 6 turns. Any friendly champion occupying target space gains Throw Boulder for 1 turn.
* Terraform: Rock 2 changed to: Target space within 3 spaces, and all spaces adjacent to it, are Rock for 6 turns. Any friendly champion occupying target space gains Throw Boulder for 1 turn.
* Thunder Strike 3 changed to: Target champion within 5 spaces takes 17 Electricity damage, then each champion within 2 spaces of the target takes 14 Electricity damage, then each champion within 2 spaces of those champions takes 11 Electricity damage. All affected units loses all AP. This damage ignores DEF. A single champion may not take more than one instance of damage from this effect.
* Vicious Blow 6 changed to: This unit makes an attack against a champion. If the attack is successful, the attacked unit is Eviscerated for 5 turns, and is knocked back 3 spaces.
* Voice of the Clans changed to: When this unit enters play, it gains a copy of Warchief: Blood Clan, Warchief: Stone Clan, Warchief: Storm Clan and Warchief: Beast Clan if any other friendly unit has that ability. When a friendly champion enters play that has one of those abilities, this unit gains a copy of that ability.
* Water Walker 1 changed to: This champion has Trail: Water and Amphibious. At the end of each turn, all spaces adjacent to this champion becomes Shallow Water for 2 turns.
* Water Walker 2 changed to: This champion has Trail: Water and Amphibious. At the end of each turn, all spaces within 2 spaces of this champion becomes Shallow Water for 2 turns.
* Water Walker 3 changed to: This champion has Trail: Water and Amphibious. At the end of each turn, all spaces within 2 spaces of this champion becomes Shallow Water for 4 turns.
* Weary changed to: When this champion successfully damages a champion with a basic attack, if that champion does not have Wearied, it becomes Wearied for 6 turns.
* Weary champion nora cost changed from 3 to 4

Conditions

* Wearied changed to: This champion's DMG will be reduced by 2 at the beginning of its owner's turn.

Relics

* Ankh of Valdac changed to: This relic has Resurrect 2 and Premonition. When this relic is deployed, friendly champions within 3 spaces are Cleansed. Friendly champions within 5 spaces that have Class: Priest gain Empathy.
* Arroyo Portal changed to: This relic has Desecrated Zone 1 and Arroyo Portal.
* Blood Crest changed to: This relic has Relocate Self and Blood Crest. (When this unit is deployed, adjacent friendly champions with Race: Vampyre gain Perseverance permanently. Friendly champions with Race: Vampyre within 5 spaces gain Enrage 1).
* Blood Crest's Nora cost changed from 30 to 25
* Bridge to Nowhere changed to: This relic has Portal Blast, Font Ignorance and Teleport (Relic).
* Bridge to Nowhere's Nora cost changed from 20 to 25
* Cursed Temple changed to: Friendly champions with Race: Vampyre gain +1DMG and +5HP as long as a Lord of Strigoi or Queen of the Night is in play.
* Cursed Temple's Nora cost changed from 35 to 20
* Ethereal Pool changed to: This unit has Relocate Self and Enchant: Magic (Relic). Friendly champions with Race: Archdemon within 5 spaces of this unit gain Spell Resistance and Reflection 2.
* Headshrinker's Totem changed to: This relic has Shrinking Gaze. While a champion with Race: Hyaenid or Class: Witch is within 4 spaces of this unit, it also gains Fascinate.
* Hekatian Fleshgrinder changed to: This unit has Unspeakable and Fleshgrinder.
* Hekatian Fleshgrinder's HP changed from 20 to 25
* Hekatian Fleshgrinder's Nora cost changed from 20 to 25
* Mangled Totem changed to: This relic has Punishing Aura 1 (At the end of each turn, opposing champions within 5 spaces lose 1 HP for each AP they have). Enemy champions that move within 3 spaces of this unit become Cursed for 3 turns. When this unit is deployed, it gains +2 MAX HP for each champion with Race: Hyaenid in play.
* Nefari Torch changed to: When a player successfully casts a spell, their enemy's champions gain +1 DMG for 4 turns and gain 1AP and their champions gain -1 DMG for 4 turns. (Unique: Spell Seal - you may only have 2 Spell Seal runes in your Battlegroup)
* Rock Generator changed to: This relic has Rock Aura (When this unit is deployed, spaces within 3 spaces from this unit become Rock) and Land of the Trolls (Friendly champions with Race: Troll within 3 spaces gain Tunnel: Earth).
* The Collective changed to: This relic has Preordained. Friendly champions deployed from the runedock while this unit is in play that have at least one race not shared by another friendly champion gain +2 DMG and +5 MAX HP permanently. This does not stack.

Spells

* Blood for Mortar changed to: Target real owned champion loses 10 HP. Enemy champions within 3 spaces lose 8 life and become Bloodied and your shrine and relics heal for the amount of HP lost on enemy champions, split evenly.
* Blood for Mortar's Nora cost changed from 20 to 25 (CD 5)
* Gale Force changed to: Area Effect 2: Champions within the affected area take 5 Frost damage and are knocked back 3 spaces if damaged.
* Rain of Blood changed to: Area Effect 4: Opposing champions within the affected area become Bloodied for 4 turns. Friendly champions within the affected area with Race: Vampyre, Bleed or Life Siphon gain 2 AP and gain Bloodseeker for 1 turn.
* Reverberating Blast changed to: Target champion takes 15 Sonic damage. If target champion takes damage, the next closest champion within 4 squares takes 5 Sonic damage and is Stunned for 2 turns if it takes damage.
* Spellthief Resurrection changed to: Target real owned champion gains Roar of the Fallen and is sacrificed. If the sacrificed champion had Class: Witch or Race: Hyaenid, the closest friendly unit also gains Forage and Dead Eater.
* Spirit Channeling changed to: Target Hyaenid gains Race: Djinn, Flight, Attack: Magical and +1 SPD. Target gains the effects of any Serf to Djinn abilities on friendly champions within 4 spaces.
* Steal Life changed to: Target champion with 0 AP loses 15 HP and the closest valid friendly champion heals 15 HP. For each friendly champion with Race: Vampyre in play, you are refunded 2 nora, to a maximum of 10.
* The Ailur Concord changed to: All friendly Jakei gain Precision, all friendly Lonx gain Subsume and all friendly Leoss gain Fellowship.
* Vampirism changed to: Area Effect 3: Friendly champions with Race: Vampyre gain Hunter: Bloodied and Leech Vitality for 6 turns.
* Vampirism's Nora cost changed from 30 to 40 (CD 8)

Equipment

* Blade of the Snake changed to: Equipped champion that has a MAX RNG of 2 or less gains +5 DMG, Warding and Healing Deficiency. If equipped champion is Race: Archdemon, it also gains Unstoppable and Roar of the Fallen. Equipped champion loses 6 HP at the beginning of each of its turns.
* Crown of Corruption changed to: Equipped champion with Race: Vampyre or Race: Lich gains Drive and Take Prisoner. If the champion does not have Race: Vampyre or Race: Lich, it gains Faithless, Limbo and becomes Cursed permanently.
* Firebeard Brew changed to: Equipped Champion is Intoxicated and gains Attack: Fire. If the equipped champion has Race: Dwarf, it gains Burn 1 and is healed for 3 HP at the beginning of its turns. If not Race: Dwarf, it is Inhibited.
* Ghost Pendant changed to: Equipped champion gains Phase Shift and Soultap Feedback. This equipment can be dropped as a relic with Ghost Pendant and Wieldable. When Phase Shift is activated, Drop Pendant begins cooldown.
* Helm of Chaos changed to: Equipped Size: Small champion with Race: Archdemon or Class: Knight gains Combat Awareness 1, Absorb and Deception.
* Mark of Kiergana changed to: When equipped champion is attacked, the attacking champion gains 1 AP. If the attacking champion has Race: Kanen, the equipped champion has -2 DEF for the attack. When equipped champion is destroyed, this equipment is equipped onto the closest valid enemy champion to this equipment's owner.
* Sacrificial Dagger changed to: Equipped champion gains Psychotic Break. If equipped champion has Race: Vampyre, it also gains Soul Siphon.
* Shield of Darkness changed to: Equipped champion has +1 DEF and gains Oblivion Shield. If equipped champion has Race: Vampyre, it also gains Siphoning Aura.
* Spinner's Greaves changed to: Equipped champion gains +2 DEF and Cocoon . If it has Race: Arthropod, it also gains Pull.
* Traitorous Helm changed to: Equipped friendly Race: Demon champion gains Noble Sacrifice, Transfer Life 1, Pariah, and Short Lived 2. When this champion dies, the closest enemy champion within 8 spaces gains Surge: Demon, becomes Possessed and Defiled for 3 turns, and gains Chasm Walker for 4 turns.
* Wraith's Tear changed to: Equipped champion gains Tormented. If it has Race: Spirit or Race: Vampyre, it also gains Terrorize.
